Do you love photography? Are you always snapping photos wherever you go? Then why not enter the second annual Shenstone Library Photography Exhibition.
We’re inviting Library Members and local residents to be part of this years Shenstone Library Photography Exhibition. Whether you’re young, old, professional or amateur we’d love to see your work. The exhibition is open to all ages, with both an Under 16 and adult categories and will have their work showcased in our exhibition.
The exhibition will be showcasing images centred around a category chosen by our judges and close to all our hearts, Shenstone. This year’s theme details are as follows:
Photo Category
Shenstone Shines
This years category is based around Shenstone and local life. Our exhibition panel, which includes professional photographers, local gallery owners and the Gallery curator at Shenstone Library are looking for photographs taken in and around our beloved village. highlighting the reasons why we love our village and what the village and village life means to you.
The photos can be landscape, flora and fauna, gardens, buildings, people, indeed anything relating to our village. You can see some examples below for inspiration from last years Library Photo Exhibition.
You can create and submit photos of anything and everything Shenstone and entries are not limited, so if you’d like to submit 1 photo or 10 photos, we’d love to see them all! The exhibition will be specially selected panel of judges including local professional photographers, gallery owners and the curator of Shenstone Library Art Gallery.
We’ll aim to display as many photos as possible in our exhibition and on our website and social media channels, so please be aware that by submitting your photos you consent to their display in public across all of the above formats.
The Exhibition
The best 40 photos submitted, will be specially selected will be framed and showcased in our popular Library Art Gallery from May 28th – July 1st.
All photos that are selected for the gallery will be for sale with half of the proceeds of the sale going to the photographers.
How to Enter
- Our library photography competition is open to everyone.
- Entries are not limited and you are free to submit as many photos as you wish for consideration
- Entries to the photography exhibition cost £2 per entry , which is payable to the Library desk during our opening hours. Under 18’s entries are free.
- Entries can be submitted only via e-mail.
- To submit your photo please e-mail all your entries to shenstone.community.library@gmail.com in high resolution JPEG format including your name, age, e-mail address in your email. Please remember that when you send your entry via email you must pay your entry fee at Shenstone Library before the exhibition closing date in order to be considered for the prizes or display in our Photography Exhibition.
- All photos can be collected from Shenstone Library at the end of the exhibition.
