The Roman’s Are Coming!

Exhibition & Children’s Event at Shenstone Library

The Romans are coming!

From February 1st, Shenstone library will be hosting an exhibition showcasing the excellent Wall Roman Site, telling the story of this important historic site situated just outside Shenstone.

To kick off this wonderful exhibition, on Saturday 2nd February we’re hosting a very special Roman Children’s Event!  Kids will have the opportunity to dress up as Roman Soldiers, make mosaic pictures just as the Romans did and take part in games and quizzes with a Roman theme.

For those too big to fit into soldier tunics there will be a display of information relating to the Letocetum (Wall) site which is run by both The National Trust and English Heritage.

There’s no need to book a place, simply head down and be prepared to join the Roman Legion!

See below for full details.

Where: Shenstone Community Library

When: Saturday February 2nd 10am – 12pm

Who: Our Roman Event is suitable for all children aged between 4-10 years (it’s even fun for older children and adults too!)
