Our Volunteers
Our Library couldn’t run without our fantastic volunteers. In fact without them, Shenstone Library wouldn’t be open.
As a community run library we rely on our amazing team of volunteers and those who donate their time and effort into making Shenstone Library the friendly and fun place to be.
Volunteering at Shenstone Library is not only a lot of fun and a great place to meet new people, it’s also an incredibly rewarding experience filled with the opportunity to learn new skills and make some friends along the way!

Library Assistants
Our Library Assistants take on the role of a good old fashioned librarian. With a wealth of knowledge on the books we stock and always willing to help out whether it be on the front desk or getting you logged on to our free computers, they’ll be at the front desk waiting with a friendly smile to assist you.
Coffee Shop Barista/Assistant
Our new Coffee Shop has already become a mainstay of Shenstone Village life, thanks to the great coffee friendly atmosphere and the scrumptious homemade cakes.
And it’s all down to our Coffee Shop volunteers who not only work tirelessly to serve our customers, but also bake all of the cakes served in our Coffee Shop themselves.
We’re always on the lookout for new bakers to donate cakes, so if you fancy yourself as a bit of a Mary Berry or Paul Hollywood please get in touch.
Event Co-ordinator/Assistant
None of our fantastic events, like Baby Bounce & Rhyme, Story Time or our Reading Groups would be possible without all those people who give their time to help organise and run these events.
If you would like to assist with any of our current events, or if you’ve got an idea for a new event that you think would be a good fit for our Library then please get in touch.
