Coffee & Cake For Connoisseurs
An evening of tasty coffee and cakes together with tasteful company!
On the evening of Monday April 16th at 7.30, Shenstone Community Library and Coffee Shop are hosting an evening to tickle the taste buds, promote locally roasted coffee and showcase the talents of local volunteer Cake Bakers.
Scott, Shenstone’s very own coffee roaster and developer of ‘Shining Stone’ coffee, will talk about coffee in general and Shining Stone coffee in particular. There will be sample shots of coffee with tasting notes.
Alongside the coffee there will be taster cubes of cakes to complement specific coffees. The cakes will be made by some of the Coffee Shop’s amazing volunteer bakers who will introduce the cake they have made for the tasting evening – you may even be able to take their secret (ssssshhh!) recipes away with you.
In addition to being an informative and very sociable evening, all profits from the event will go to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. One of our Library volunteers, who also bakes gluten-free cakes for us, is the West Midlands representative on the England Council for MS. Her daughter, who lives in Australia was diagnosed with MS some years ago, so it’s a charity close to her heart.
Tickets for the event are £7.00 each and are available from Shenstone Community Library. Your numbered ticket will cover the cost of the coffee and cake samples as well as automatic entry into the prize draw – a delectable cake and a bag of sumptuous Shining Stone coffee!
